Another Cup of Coffee
You wake me in the morning
With your warm, rich breath
Your charm, your voice,
Your taste, your scent;
Without you I'd be gone and dead,
Without you I'd be lying in bed.
I only need you,
In order to get through;
Nothing's better than you,
Not even tea of red hue.
And you are even better
With white cream and white sugar
You taste so sweet;
I can cheat a little more sleep.
I swig you down my throat,
Along with dispersed fog and dissolved crystals
And let you work your magic,
Succumbing to lust so manic;
But in three hours' time, you are done,
With another three left,
And thus I crash and fall to rest.
